Terrorism Experts Predict Future Attacks in US
General
Jim Kouri, CPP
Terrorism is the most significant threat to our national security. In the international terrorism arena, over the next five years, it’s believed that the number of state-sponsored terrorist organizations will continue to decline, but privately sponsored terrorist groups will increase in number.
Moore’s Terrorist Warning Chart

James T. Moore
Being a quintessential seeker of truth, my attention was recently drawn back to the methods used by government officials to alert citizens of possible terrorist attacks.
Al-Jazeera Leads Protest Over Saddam’s Fate
General
Cliff Kincaid
One of my Google alerts about the International Criminal Court (ICC) picked up a column by a Canadian liberal upset that Saddam Hussein wasn’t turned over to the ICC. Jerry West, editor of a “progressive” publication, believes the U.S. had Saddam “railroaded” through an Iraqi “kangaroo court” and that the refusal to turn him over to the ICC demonstrates “the disrespect that the U.S. has for the international community.” I suspect these sentiments are probably shared by many of those in the media wringing their hands over the “lynching” of Saddam. The false impression being created is that the legal proceeding was a farce and that the better option would have been to let the “international community” and the ICC handle it.
The Peace Lover, the Peace Maker and the NRA
General
Lauren McLean
So how does a peace-loving, anti-war female wind up with a Smith and Wesson .38 Special and a membership in the National Rifle Association? Partly because I’m a country-girl at heart and partly because I believe in Americans’ rights to defend themselves.
A Muslim in the House
General
Kevin Roeten
Islam is indeed a religion everyone needs to worry about. On 1/3/07 a Mulim(Keith Ellison) was sworn in to the US House of Representatives. Unfortunately, we DO need to be worried about those Christians and Muslims who pick and choose to support their worldview. But the Islamic religion actually talks about using violence as a means to an end. The Bible does not.
Just Spain Stupid
General
Aaron Goldstein
The last week of 2006 was occupied by the death of former President Gerald Ford, the execution of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and the passing of the “Godfather of Soul” James Brown. So it should come as little surprise that some events that would have normally attracted more public attention and scrutiny glided well beneath the radar. This was certainly the case with the car bombing at the Madrid Barajas International Airport on December 30th. The blast injured 26 people and has thus far resulted in the death of one man from Ecuador. Another Ecuadorian national is missing and presumed dead.

New Year’s Resolutions for Other People: The 2007 Edition
General
Thomas Lindaman
Well, it’s that time of year again when people decide to make major life changes because it’s the beginning of a new year. Some people resolve to lose weight. Others resolve to stop smoking. Still others resolve to stop looking for naked photos of Rue McClanahan on the Internet. (I know that last one’s gonna be tough for me to do.)
What We Can Learn From Indians
General
James T. Moore
Whether living in tribes in the mountains, on the plains, in the forests, or near the coast, American Indians believed, and still do, that all mankind has a unique relationship with everything in nature, and especially with the Divine Power that created all things.

Haunted By The Ghosts Of Chamberlains Past
General
Edward L. Daley
It’s no secret that Iran, and to a lesser degree, Syria, are responsible for supplying weapons to our enemies in Iraq, as well as encouraging would-be terrorists from their own lands to join the ranks of the blood-thirsty Islamo-fascist militias that our military and the Iraqi Army faces on a daily basis in the area known as the Sunni Triangle.
The United States Is Just as Violent as Iraq
General
Dave Gibson
The Iraqi government just reported that during 2006, 16,273 soldiers, police officers, and civilians were murdered in that country. In 2005, 16,912 murders took place in the United States. With many major U.S. cities reporting higher murder rates in 2006, we can expect to easily break the 17,000 mark. While the majority of Iraqi homicides were the result of that nation’s many Muslim factions fighting one another for political control, most U.S. murders can be attributed to drugs and gang violence...Considering that fact, Americans may face a more bleak future than will Iraqis.
Enemy Propaganda on Al-Jazeera English
General
Cliff Kincaid
Brent Bozell wrote an excellent column on the launch of Al-Jazeera English, making the point that the liberals who always decry U.S. government-funded “propaganda,” mostly in the form of news releases, don’t mind the Arab government-funded propaganda on this new channel. In fact, many liberal publications have welcomed the prospect of having this propaganda piped directly into American living rooms.

An Open Letter To The New 2007 Congress: There’s No Such Thing As Sensible Gun Laws, Part II
General
John Longenecker
Before I get to the letter: Many non-gun owners do not know this, but the majority of states of the union favor and support concealed carry of weapons. For decades, officials there have not regretted cooperating with constituents on the subject. Alaska and Vermont require no permit at all to carry a handgun. But nationwide, this coverage is spotty at best and could use a helpful boost from Congress on certain bills under consideration at any one time. Those bills involve nationwide concealed carry of weapons as a moral imperative and pragmatic essential.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had better hurry up. We’re down to the last few hours of 2006 and she hasn’t resigned yet.
