As a candidate for the U.S. presidency, Barack Obama touted himself to foreign audiences as a “citizen of the world.” As president, he is determined to make sure we are such citizens, too.

Anyone paying attention knows that John McCain has been a Big-Government Globalist Neocon (BGGN) for virtually his entire senatorial career. As with many BGGNs hiding out in the Republican Party, McCain likes to talk about smaller government, but his track record is littered with the promotion of one big government program after another. But, what else would one expect from a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)?

The Lisbon Treaty, which came into full effect on December 1st, basically ended the national sovereignty for most European nations.  Most of the important decisions for the citizens of Europe will now be made by a small group of European elitists - many of them totally unelected.  But for the global elite, the consolidation of the EU is just one step towards a larger goal.  You see, the ultimate desire of these elitists is to merge regional alliances such as the EU into a world government.  In fact, in symbols used on official European coins, posters and artwork, the elite have sent us a message telling us exactly what they are planning to do to all of humanity - if anyone out there is willing to listen.

The EU has confirmed Herman Van Rompuy as the first permanent President of the emerging United States of Europe. He has clearly stated that the first order of business for the EU will be to solidify the economy and answer the social changes the 47 member states are facing.

It makes very little difference which Democrat wins the White House.  The next president will push the United States a little further into the web of global governance.  Hillary Clinton is on record(1) in support of global governance.  John McCain has declared his intention to embrace the Kyoto Protocol.  And Barack Obama has introduced the Global Poverty Act (S2433) to bring the U.S. into compliance with the U.N.’s Millennium Declaration(2). 

The “responsibility to protect” (R2P) doctrine out­lines the conditions in which the international com­munity is obligated to intervene in another country, militarily if necessary, to prevent genocide, ethnic cleansing, and other atrocities. Despite its noble goals, the United States should treat the R2P doctrine with extreme caution.

The Revolutionary War was all about establishing the independence of, and bestowing national sovereignty upon, the United States of America.  The U.S. Constitution created a system of limited government that championed individual freedom, which produced the most prosperous and productive civilization the world has ever known.  This unique position in the world is rapidly waning.  The next presidential election will surely accelerate the rate of descent into global mediocrity.

It’s not the kind of endorsement that a Republican presidential candidate should welcome. But former Clinton State Department official and alleged Russian dupe Strobe Talbott says that Senator John McCain and Democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are all “moderate pragmatists” in foreign policy “with the demonstrated ability to reach across party lines.”
