No Clear Choice for Republicans
Elections
Offsite
It’s a frequent refrain I hear: “We don’t have a candidate.”

Unprecedented Danger in One of the Proposed California Ballot Initiatives
Elections
Paul M. Weyrich
A movement is underway across the nation to change the way we elect the President. Since the bitterly contested election of 2000, in which Vice President Albert A. Gore, Jr. won the popular vote but lost the election to President George W. Bush, Democrats have been anxious to modify the way in which the President is elected. For many the goal is either to eradicate the Electoral College or make its votes insignificant to the outcome of the election.

The Time Is Right For A Third Party
Elections
Dave Gibson
It has never been more evident that the Republican and Democratic Parties have because so similarly corrupt and so oblivious to the will of the American people, the two parties are now indistinguishable from one another. It would be a fair assessment to say that the parties have simply merged into the right and left wings of the American Socialist Party.

As Of This Date Demercrats and Republicrats Refuse To Offer Candidates For President Of America
Elections
Malcolm Hedges
Comrade Hillary has established directly or indirectly her ‘Left-Wing’ credentials. At this point, no viable Republicrat candidate has directly or indirectly committed to ‘Right-Wing’ expectations.

America: A socially-engineered society
Elections
Henry Lamb
Fifty years ago, the term “social engineering” referred to government policies that forced people to live as government dictated. In the United States, it was a hated term. Americans died to defeat the social engineering that Hitler imposed on the Germans, and tried to impose on the rest of the world. Communism, as practiced in the Soviet Union, was social engineering - the absolute opposite of the freedom Americans enjoyed, and employed to limit the power of their government.

Vote Fraud Roulette

The perfect ticket, or the perfect storm
Elections
Henry Lamb
Progressives, liberals, socialists, and those further to the left, see 2008 as a fantastic opportunity to create the perfect ticket: Hillary and Obama. The first female president, and the first black vice president. Hillary will have eight years to lead the world, during which gravitas-deficient Obama can grow up and learn how to carry the great democratic socialist tradition for another eight years. Imagine, Democrats in control until 2024. No wonder the left side of the political spectrum is pouring unprecedented amounts of money into the Hillary-Obama coffers.

For the record… Lobbyists are just Paid Messengers
Elections
JB Williams
I realize that millions of dollars have been spent over many years to make the word “lobbyist” almost as dirty a word as “profit”. Anti-capitalists hate both and have done a magnificent job of demonizing both. But in case you have an interest in knowing the facts, I thought someone should point out that “lobbyists” are nothing more or less than paid messengers.
Abortion - Where is Fred Thompson? Where Should Conservatives be?
Elections
Warner Todd Huston
Probable Presidential candidate Fred Thompson has recently been caught up in an imbroglio on abortion at the very start of his nascent run for the White House. He has been “caught” working as a lobbyist for a pro-abortion group and, when running for the Senate and while a newly minted Senator, Thompson filled out a questionnaire or two that could lead one to imagine he isn’t staunchly against the procedure. In this piece, I would like to address Thompson’s voting record and positions, show that they are consistent from the beginning, and juxtapose them with those for which a real Conservative, Federalist should advocate.

What Excuse for the New Farm Bill?
Elections
Dennis Avery
The Congress is trying urgently to write a new farm bill - but it can’t think of an excuse for passing it. The cold reality, of course, is simply that half of the U.S. Senate is elected in states where the farm vote is significant, and neither party wants to lose an election because of a few unhappy farmers.

Defending Fred Thompson
Elections
Doug Hagin
Anyone who knows me knows I am strongly supporting Fred Thompson for president of the United States. I have laid out my reasons in previous columns. In short, I believe Thompson is a true Conservative, His record shows that, his recent speeches and columns prove it as well. I have nothing but confidence in this man to be not only a great pick for the GOP, but, I also believe he can defeat Hillary next November, and let us be very honest here, Hillary Clinton WILL BE the Democratic nominee. Thompson, is, in my view a man that can both excite the conservative base and reach middle of the road voters as well. That is a recipe for success my friends.
Political Forces Shaping The ‘08 Elections
Elections
Christopher G. Adamo
So far, the political landscape preceding the 2008 Presidential Election has
defied every attempt by the “old media” to characterize and thus determine
its outcome. Were the original media prognostications correct, at least two
thirds of the American public would already be lining up at the ballot box,
eagerly awaiting the starting bells in order to joyously cast votes for
Hillary.
