Guns: Turn ‘em In, Officials.
Elections
John Longenecker
Senator Dianne Feinstein said, “Turn ‘em in, America,” a very unpatriotic command nobody has to obey because it was against the law. She might as well have urged Americans to purchase other Americans while it’s against the law to own another person in this country. As civil rights, both are absolute, and for good reason. Who in her right mind could urge Americans to surrender a civil right? Indeed, even just a little? Could any reason be good enough?

Ron Paul Spills the Beans, and They’re Hot!
Elections
James T. Moore
Forget for the moment any political party you belong to, any candidate you support, or anybody you are considering voting for in the 2008 presidential election. Think, if you will, for just a minute about what you read here. As a patriotic, American citizen, it may be one of the most important pieces of information you’ll get between now and election time.

U.S. And Worldwide Media Agree: America Is Evil
Elections
Gordon Bishop
The above headline caught my eye in The Washington Times the other day. It was Bill O’Reilly’s syndicated column, one of the most powerful media giants in America, together with his nightly, prime-time popular TV program, “The O’Reilly Factor,” and his best-selling books and his huge website a global audience.

The Republican Who Can Beat Our Two Greatest Foes
Elections
J. James Estrada
With the “war is lost” Democrats in control of Congress, this is most assured: we will be hit again on our soil by terrorists. When that happens, who do you want in the office of the President of the United States? Of course, you want a Republican. Even Democrats were thankful that it was George W. Bush and not Al Gore in office after 9/11. The question becomes then, which Republican? The answer is two-fold. Who will beat Mrs. Bill Clinton in the general election? And who is tough enough to begin a real ‘shock and awe’ campaign on the Islamofacist world, who desire to kill us?

Fox News’ Pro-Giuliani Conflict of Interest
Elections
Cliff Kincaid
Rudy Giuliani’s much-publicized but misleading put-down of Ron Paul during Tuesday night’s Republican presidential debate should have been tempered by a report that Saudi Arabia, the country that spawned most of the 9/11 hijackers, has been one of Giuliani’s lucrative foreign clients. However, Fox News questioners Chris Wallace and Wendell Goler did not bring it up.

Giuliani and Thompson get constitutionality and federalism right
Elections
Bruce Walker
Recently Rudy Giuliani made a statement about his position on abortion which was “confusing” to a lot of social conservatives. During a FOX News interview with Fred Thompson, my wife thought that he did great except for a “confusing” response to a question about gay marriage. Actually both men, good federal prosecutors with background in constitutional law, hit the questions out of the ballpark.
The Debates Should Be Over
Elections
Thomas Lindaman
The 2008 Election isn’t for another year or so, but you couldn’t tell it by watching the potential candidates. First, Democrats raised a stink about Fox News offering to host a Democrat debate because, according to John “Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Beautiful” Edwards, Fox News is...biased! Once Edwards said it, other Democrats jumped on the bandwagon and the event was cancelled. And how did I find out about it? Watching candidates talk about the issue on CNN.
Human Life Legislation and Vetoes
Elections
Marion Edwyn Harrison, Esq.
President George W. Bush has vetoed only one bill during his six-plus years in office. It, therefore, is significant when the President in writing announces his intent to veto. The letter which follows has received scant media attention.

Rudy Goes Judge-Mental: Cross-dressing act is wearing thin
Elections
Daniel Clark
And people say that George W. Bush can’t communicate. Next to Rudolph Giuliani’s attempts to placate social conservatives, the president sounds as if he’s speaking with a mouthful of Blarney Stones.

Hillary Clinton, a Trojan Horse?
Elections
Bernard Chapin
Bay Buchanan, the younger sister of Pat Buchanan and former Treasurer of the United States, offers up some unique bulbs of observation amidst a larger garden of perennial wisdom. She updates the earlier tomes with an exploration of Mrs. Clinton’s time in the Senate and provides a central theme that is both compelling and persuasive. Her idee fixe is that character is a monumental aspect of leadership and that Hillary Clinton is a person entirely devoid of it.

The Evangelical Self-Destruction
Elections
Adam Graham
I’m a fervent opponent of the nomination of Mitt Romney for the Presidency of the United States on the Republican side. Romney’s multiple flip flops right before running for president paint a portrait of a man who will say whatever it takes to get elected. In fact, I’m doing my best on the behalf of Governor Romney’s opponents.

Chris Matthews Destroys Rudy Giuliani
Elections
Cliff Kincaid
Our campaign to force Fox News and the South Carolina Republican Party to open up their May 15 presidential debate to all 10 official and declared candidates was vindicated by what happened at the May 3 debate broadcast by MSNBC. Republicans got a chance to see a real exchange of views. Candidates like Duncan Hunter, Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo, who might have been excluded from the May 15 Fox News debate under the channel’s original criteria, talked about issues most of the other candidates would prefer to ignore. And despite the sometimes overbearing presence of liberal moderator Chris Matthews, several questions asked by Matthews and John Harris of Politico.com delineated real differences among the candidates.

Stacking the Debate in Favor of Giuliani
Elections
Cliff Kincaid
Hogan Gidley, executive director of the South Carolina Republican Party, says that he is not sure which Republican presidential candidates will be at the May 15 debate co-hosted by Fox News Channel. He says every candidate has received a letter outlining the criteria which must be met but he will not release a copy of that letter to Accuracy in Media. He says Fox News will decide the candidates based on whether they get one percent in various state or national opinion polls but he is not sure what polls the channel will be using to make that determination.
