A spokesman for a political action committee that recently released an ad questioning Sen. Barack Obama’s statements about his faith says supporters of the Democratic presidential candidate are trying to scare him with vulgarities and implied threats.

AT its best, Western civilization has fostered freedom of speech and of thought. But Canada has a better idea.

Political activists and even certain U.S. senators have argued that the federal government should reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine, which would require broadcasters to air both sides of controversial issues. Opponents charge that Fairness Doctrine advocates are trying to reduce the impact of conservative talk radio. 

Minneapolis: Dropping any pretense of objectivity and non-partisanship, the “National Conference for Media Reform” on Saturday night turned into a Barack Obama-for-President rally, as left-wing media figure Arianna Huffington denounced Senator and presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain as a “Trojan horse for the right” who had “sold his soul” to become president.

The just-stalled Senate bill to reduce greenhouse gas emissions reflects a basic doctrine of the socialist religion: government bureaucrats are smarter and more effective managers than businessmen and should be empowered to set the rules for running private business.

As to the late “victory for liberty” for-in-behalf of a misguided minority that think it liberating, moral, and wise to IMPOSE by FIAT, same-sex marriage, on the great majority who oppose it as enslaving, immoral, and absurd – such a victory is no victory at all.

Puerto Rico’s teachers union seems to have been aced out of their position as the union organizing the teachers of that Island nation by a hostile takeover. It seems that the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) cozied up to the embattled Puerto Rican Governor and was able to convince him to simply hand over all the teachers on the Island to the SEIU—quite regardless of the fact that they already belonged to the existing teachers union, the Federacion de Maestros de Puerto Rico (FMPR). 

I’ve been a fan of Dunkin’ Donuts for years. Their Munchkins are heaven. Their coffee is better and cheaper than Starbucks. And the company’s management has taken a brave and lonely stand in support of immigration enforcement—refusing to hire illegal aliens and blowing the whistle on applicants with bogus Social Security numbers.

Harlingen, Texas, May 24, 2008:  Oliver Wendell Homes said it best..."You never need think you can turn over any old falsehoods without a terrible squirming of the horrid little population that dwells under it.” Well, that is just what happened this past week when Democrat Representative Maxine Waters experienced a Freudian slip and uttered the secret fraternity password that identifies her Party.  She spoke the word all members of her party know must be hidden from every rational thinking citizen.

Despite the massive, overwhelming documentation proving that elite groups around the world have been planning the complete annihilation of this constitutional republic for a more than a hundred years, Americans continue to deny, deny, deny. Let me give you this example. It’s an email I received a few days ago regarding a January 7, 2005, column I wrote titled, President Bush supporting global communist domination:

The big difference between Republicans and liberal Democrats is the way each party views people. Republicans see us as individuals and respect our God-given human dignity. To left-wing Democrats, we’re not individuals; we’re members of a herd with all the dignity of a cow or pig, dependent on its owner for daily rations of hay or slop.

Air America Radio may have tried and failed to use washed-up comedians like Janeane Garofalo and Al Franken to make liberal talk radio work, but their rule seems to be that if first you don’t succeed, flop, flop again. When wacky radical Randi Rhodes resigned over a nasty and profane denunciation of Hillary Clinton, Air America replaced her in afternoon drive time with… Roseanne Barr.

For more than 200 years, America reigned as the worlds most productive, prosperous, powerful and generous nation on earth. Like all nations, America is nothing more or less than the sum of its people and their belief system.

On May 1 a little-reported act of domestic terrorism struck the United States.  It cost our economy between $1 and $2 billion, equivalent to the theft of up to $26.66 from every American family of four – money you and your family will be paying in higher prices.
