Blood Money from CNN
Progressivism
Cliff Kincaid
Faced with outrage over airing a video showing terrorists shooting and killing American soldiers in Iraq, CNN is auctioning off a Hummer it used to cover the liberation of Iraq in order to raise money for wounded vets.
‘Will Journalists Report the Facts about Illegal Immigration?’
Progressivism
Andy Selepak
In the Washington Post’s never-ending quest to support illegal immigration, the paper has used the technique of undermining common sense with emotion, using the reader’s sympathy for the less fortunate to excuse law-breaking. But there are other tricks in the media playbook. One is to dismiss legitimate concern about illegal immigration as political posturing.

The Bare Necessities
Progressivism
Erik Rush
You wouldn’t attempt to go for an hour without breathing, a week without taking fluid, or a year without eating, would you? Of course not. You would languish and die. Highly undesirable, unless you were a zealot, fanatic or hunger striker. It’s also highly unlikely you’d decide a straight lifetime diet of peppermint patties, malt balls and beer was a good idea.
Soap Opera to Feature Transgender Character
Progressivism
Andy Selepak
ABC’s “All My Children” was supposed to introduce a transgender character on its November 30 show. It’s another new low for daytime television, otherwise known as the “soaps.” But it’s another first for the gay rights lobby, which has a stranglehold over much of the media. Perhaps the next step in this progression is for a character to come out as a pedophile simply exercising his or her “sexual orientation.”

Still the Clinton News Network
Progressivism
Cliff Kincaid
Bill Clinton was back on CNN on World AIDS Day being portrayed as an expert on how to stop AIDS. It shows how the media will not let any of Clinton’s sex scandals interfere with his public rehabilitation. The Clinton answer, which is quite unique, is to use an international airline tax to buy more anti-AIDS drugs of dubious value.

Senator Obama and the Social Gospel
Progressivism
Dan Phillips
All the fuss over Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) and his possible presidential candidacy is hard to explain. He is a recently elected junior Senator. Under normal circumstances his candidacy would be considered premature at best and hubristic at worst. So why the fawning treatment, especially by the media?

Progressive Stupidity to the nth power!
Progressivism
Malcolm Hedges
Some dingbat Progressive ‘prefesser’ babe on FNC just stated that anyone with a ‘C’ grade in a college class is basically an idiot.
‘Al Qaeda’s Man in Washington?’
Progressivism
Jim Kouri, CPP
Now that the Democrats are in control of both houses of congress, Americans can look forward to their leadership putting their own interests ahead of the safety and security of citizens during the war on terrorism. In her recent column, Ann Coulter, in her usual hyperbolic style, called the Democrat Party a “sleeper cell.” A good example of that is the recent actions of Senator Levin.

A Great Day for the Femi-Nazi’s
Progressivism
Malcolm Hedges
Hold it! Any woman that can be an effective manager and forget the ‘femi-nazi’ agenda deserves to be advanced and contribute to our country.

Global Warming on Steroids
Progressivism
Alan Caruba
On December 4, then Speaker-Elect Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) issued a statement protesting the lifting of a presidential moratorium protecting Alaska’s Bristol Bay from oil and gas exploration. Rep. Pelosi had to reach back to the Exxon Valdez oil spill of 1989 to find a reason why this energy-rich area should not be opened to exploration.

Nock on Shaw’s Socialism
Progressivism
Thomas Brewton
Celebrated libertarian analyst Albert Jay Nock’s 1945 review of George Bernard Shaw’s Everybody’s Political What’s What exposes the fundamental flaw in socialism and its American liberal-progressive doctrine. As we begin a new Congress dominated by liberal-socialist-progressives, it is useful to have Mr. Nock’s perspective.
CNN’s Obama Infomercial
Progressivism
Bob Parks
Those of you who’ve read my work over the years know I don’t trust what we loosely refer to as the “mainstream media.” As we’re talking about human beings, we’re talking about people who have opinions on various issues. The problem is that those in that media have the power to shape an issue to suit an agenda based on those personal opinions. The discipline should be that personal opinions have no place in traditional news reporting.

You gotta read this!
Progressivism
Malcolm Hedges
Lenin must be laughing from his Red Square coffin and Sam McLaughlin must be crying in his. Communism--successfully fought off by the west--has advanced Full Square into the United States of America - masquerading as big business.
‘Where’s Our Soros?’
Progressivism
Erik Rush
Are you familiar with the Channel Channel? Depending on the type of television service you have it varies, with the digital variety being the most state-of-the-art. It’s the channel that shows the schedule of television shows being offered on the other channels to which you subscribe (and to quite a few you probably don’t, or wouldn’t with a gun to your head).
A Howler From Howell
Progressivism
Andy Selepak
The Washington Post ombudsman, Deborah Howell, has written an article entitled, “Media ‘Liberalism’ Under the Microscope,” in which she suggests that journalists are not as liberal as we may think. I wrote her an email applauding her for addressing the problem but correcting her misunderstanding of the issue. It just so happens that I had completed my master’s thesis on liberal bias in the media. I am still hoping she takes a look at what I found.
