The Manhattan Declaration - To Every Thing there is a Season
Culture Wars
Michael Bresciani
News shows across America showed clips of American Idol star Adam Lambert’s overt sexual behavior at the recent American Music Awards. Almost all the clips were preceded with advisories and warnings. When discussed it was a single comment made on the Fox News outlet that beat all.

Rectal Bombs, Bono Dreck And Obama Full Of It: Headline Potpourri #9
Culture Wars
Frederick Meekins
Travelers often grumble about security measures at airports requiring them to remove belts and shoes as precautions to detect explosives. Such inconveniences may seem like something from the quaint past in light of a new strategy developed by Al Qaeda. An attack was carried out against the Saudi head of counterterrorism operations by concealing nearly a pound of explosives inside a bomber’s rectum. The device was detonated by cell phone. It is believed instructions on how to carry out such an attack will soon be posted online.

What Americans really want
Culture Wars
Offsite
...Today, Americans are boiling mad, and the elites from Washington to Wall Street to West Hollywood don’t get it. It can best be summarized by 12 short words bellowed by Howard Beale, the deranged TV anchor in the movie “Network”: “I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore.”

All the President’s Bigoted Men
Culture Wars
Selwyn Duke
When Barack Obama said that the Henry Louis Gates affair was a teaching moment, he spoke truly. But the key is ensuring that the right things are taught and the right people learn. Unfortunately, this is unlikely to happen.

Healthcare debate needs Atticus Finch
Culture Wars
John David Powell
The hot and miserable August weather has moved indoors in many cities and towns across our land. Moved indoors and taken the form of recriminating rhetoric as neighbors and ideologies square off in shout fests billed as informational town hall meetings about changes to healthcare coverage and care.

Right -vs- left on the Blogosphere
Culture Wars
J. D. Longstreet
Since I began writing for the conservative side of the blogosphere, I have been getting vicious, bitter, hate-filled comments from readers, and 99.9% of it is from the Political Left in America. I understood, when I began, that getting e-mail in disagreement with my opinions could be expected- and that it would come. And come it did!

Arab American Institute Says Amer. Conservatives are Racist, Dangerous
Culture Wars
Warner Todd Huston
James J. Zogby is the president of the Arab American Institute(1) out of Washington D.C. and he thinks that if you are an American that stands against President Obama’s communistic healthcare policies, or you happen to believe in the integrity of our borders, or you are worried that this nation is being systematically dismantled one brick at a time by Big Government overreach then you are angry, dangerous, and obviously a racist, nativist.

‘Are we not all Americans???’
Culture Wars
Carolyn Hileman
They won’t be called civil rights rallies even though these rallies were about one of the most important rights of all, the right to be heard by your government. They won’t be called civil rights rallies even though some of the people there were beaten for daring to use their right to freedom of speech. No they won’t be called civil right rallies because you see, except for a few, they were the wrong color, that being the case it will not even be compared to it. You must understand, if you are a white person in this country it really does not matter if your rights are trampled, they think you have it coming to you and some will even cheer the beatings on, because you see, simply because of race once again some people have decided other people have no rights.

Mark Sanford and the Left’s Romper Room Commentary
Culture Wars
Selwyn Duke
There is probably nothing that pleases our libertine left more than a social conservative’s fall from grace. Just witness the predictable feeding frenzy that ensued when South Carolina governor Mark Sanford confessed to marital infidelity. Why, so voracious are his critics that a Google search for Sanford’s name in parentheses and the word “hypocrite” yields 20,600 of their pages.

Dr. Tiller: Let’s Not Make Him a Martyr
Culture Wars
Michael Bresciani
Blame for Dr. Tiller’s murder is flying around like the sands of a Mojave dust storm most of it is hyper and unreasonable and it is begging for some legitimate balance. Is there any?

The Riverdale Plot and Our Dreyfus Moment
Culture Wars
Bruce Walker
The foiled attack on the synagogue in the Riverdale district of New York City should bring home with devastating force an argument that I have been making for a long time: evil in this world is not divided according to some imaginary ideological spectrum, but rather upon a division of camps. In one camp are Jews, Christians, America, and Israel. These are peoples who want, most of all, simply to be left alone.
