Newly-elected Democratic Party state officeholders in Ohio have not been in office for sixty days already and yet they have quickly outpaced the levels of political corruption that plagued the previous Republican Taft Administration, and cost the Ohio GOP four of the five statewide offices in the last election. Unfortunately for Ohio taxpayers, they are the ones who will eventually be footing the bill for the Ohio Democrats’ political payoffs for their “progressive” allies that helped get them elected.

What advantages? - As you read this sobering if not depressing series on America’s future as it adds 100 million people by 2040, do you feel alone? Lost? Hopeless?

Ed Begley Jr. and Mrs. Ed Begley Jr. appeared on Hannity and Combs recently and, after having hedged and hawed about condemning Al Gore Jr. using about as much energy as a small third world nation, Mr. Begley Jr. observed that global warming could be proving by doing research and checking on anyone with a PhD after his name.

Saint Louis University was the site for a weeklong series of presentations entitled “Palestine Awareness Week.” The student group “SLU Solidarity with Palestine” sponsored the event. The term “Solidarity” signifies the SLU group’s affiliation with the “International Solidarity Movement” which disrupts and interferes with the security operations of Israeli military and police units.  The week’s events were presented in collaboration with the Muslim Student Group and the off-campus “Center for Theology and Social Analysis.” I endured three of the five presentations: a film by John Pilger, a lecture by Norman Finkelstein, and a seminar taught by students entitled “Palestine 101.”

For decades, adherents of the Muslim Brotherhood (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun) have threatened the existence of their respective governments, considering them to be secular, illegitimate and traitorous.  As more and more of this brand of fundamentalist – and many times fanatic – Islam reaches our shores, will the same threat for us become reality?

Labor Unions are attempting to justify the removal of free and fair elections in the unionization process. The thinking goes that since secret ballot elections are not perfect, we should do away with them altogether. In their place, according to the Unions, should be a system called “Card Check”.
