Reuters News Service Should Be Charged With Wire Fraud!
Progressivism Dave Gibson

We are all familiar with the leftist slant with which the mainstream media delivers information. However, the 150 year old Reuters News Service takes the term ‘liberal bias’ to another level indeed. Reuters recently issued a report on illegal immigrants heading into the U.S. being robbed by bandits, in which they insinuate that the Minutemen had committed the crime!

The Conduct of War
Off Site Editor

Recently, President George W. Bush - constitutional Commander-in-Chief of the military forces of the United States - stated what should be obvious to anyone who has not failed Civics 101: Mr. Bush is the “decision-maker” on issues of war.  Period!

Media Lies
Off Site Editor

Plenty know by now that in 2004 the progressive Pew Foundation published an extensive poll exposing the five-to-one ratio of liberals to conservatives in the news-reporting media. Strangely, media outlets must believe that we have forgotten this because they continue marching forward just like the vain and gullible monarch penned by Hans Christian Andersen.

Neo American values
Off Site Editor

As if we are all kindergarteners, Americans are being taught to honor and obey new values. According to our wise leaders, we now have a new sense of purpose, a new way of thinking, and a new duty to volunteer in our communities. We all must serve goals larger than self.

Forgetting Our Founders in February
Off Site Editor

...In the 80s some historians and politically correct revisionists, who Dr. James Kennedy said are the “termites in the timber of civilization,” came up with the idea that Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King should be equated with our Founding Fathers and recognized on his birthday so another three-day paid weekend for government workers was designated in January and Washington’s and Lincoln’s birthdays were combined as Presidents’ Day.

The Task of Revisionism
Demercrats Miguel Guanipa

When asked how he thinks history will judge him, President Bush is fond of heckling back his impertinent scoffers by jesting that there are yet many who are still writing about the first president of our country, and he has at least until historians get through covering the many achievements and misadventures of the 42 presidents who preceded him before he has to worry about how he may or may not be judged by those who are entrusted with that honorable task.

‘08 slate without standout for GOP

Many conservatives say they pick “none of the above” when faced with a choice of Arizona Sen. John McCain, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani as the 2008 Republican presidential nominee.

‘Loyalty to an Ideal or to a Person?’
Republicrats Randall H. Nunn

The Republican Party suffered a blow in the 2006 elections, losing control of both houses of Congress.  Many have hoped that the party would analyze the results of that election and correct the problems before the 2008 elections.  However, the signs thus far are not encouraging, as the party leadership seems fractured, indecisive and unsure of itself.  Rather than trying to focus on core principles and representing the base that elected them, too many of the Republican leaders are pandering to interest groups and adjusting their positions based on polls and conventional wisdom as laid down by the mainstream media.  As a result, a large segment of the Republican base is becoming even more frustrated and alienated from the leadership.

Bush Isn’t Evil, He’s Dangerously Sick
General James T. Moore

I used to like George W. Bush. He seemed to be an honest, experienced and affable person. A guy you could trust with your sister, your pocketbook, your political party, even your country. But I don’t like Bush anymore. I don’t hate him either. How can you hate a man you pity?

There Is A Big Difference Between The Religious Right and Conservatism
Progressivism Malcolm Hedges

Conservatism is a Political and Social stance, Socialists and The Religious Right are both groups dedicated to a Religious agenda.

Chertoff’s ‘Islam PC’ rankles fed officials

Citing recent internal memos, Department of Homeland Security employees complain their boss Michael Chertoff is hamstringing counter-terror operations with pro-Islamic political correctness.

US Border Patrol Agents:  Someone Might ‘Splain to Andrew McCarthy
Immigration Sher Zieve

In a recent National Review Online commentary piece, Andrew McCarthy blasts and issues ad hominem attacks against WorldNet Daily, the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin’s Sara Carter - and me - for writing exposes on DHS Agents who lied in their provision of bogus “evidence” to the prosecutor of US Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.  Perhaps Mr. McCarthy failed to read what DHS Inspector General Richard L. Skinner had to say, on Tuesday, to the Subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee.  If so, allow me to assist him.  After repeated attempts over a 4-month period, by Committee members to gain the “evidence” against the USBP Agents, Skinner told the Committee that there was no evidence to back up DHS’ claims.  Instead, Skinner stated:  “The person who told you that misinformed you.” As it turns out, DHS Agents and apparently Skinner - himself - were the ones who “misinformed” Committee members.  Note:  In this scenario misinformed means lied.

Anna Nicole Smith and the S Word
Progressivism Bruce Walker

The death of Anna Nicole Smith is a tragedy, but not for the reasons usually cited.  Bill O’Reilly rhetorically asks his guests why it is that Hollywood celebrities so easily lapse into self-destructive behavior.  What is true in Hollywood is also true in professional sports, in the music industry, and in other glamorous areas of American society.

Lou Dobbs Goes Soft on Dems
Immigration Andy Selepak

CNN’s Lou Dobbs has done a good job of holding the Bush Administration’s feet to the fire on illegal immigration and other critical issues. He has been one of the few commentators, for example, focusing attention on the scheme known as the Security and Prosperity Partnership, the precursor to a North American Union. But on January 23, 2007, Dobbs let his anti-Bush bias get the better of him. He allowed Democratic Rep. Charles Rangel to rant and rave about Bush’s plan for a guest worker program being a form of slavery. Rangel’s incendiary rhetoric obscured the fact that Rangel has a record on immigration that is worse than the President’s. Dobbs should not have let Rangel get away with it.
