This little piece appeared in my email box this morning, I thought some might like a little laugh to start their day.

All the junk science freaks and hangers on mush-minds are gathering around to encourage the undermining of the world economy and standard of living.

When two American missionaries were kidnapped last July in Haiti, FBI negotiators were called in to secure their release. The missionaries, both North Carolina natives in Port Au Prince aiding relief efforts in the beleaguered Caribbean republic, would be held for four days as their captors demanded a ransom and our crisis experts guided their families through wrenching negotiations.

We are confronted by extremists of all flavors every day: Left, Right, Religious and Anti-Religious.  Most all of them refuse to consider any concepts of moderation.

...The Supreme Court has even entered the act, ordering the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to regulate the emission of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.

...But in the aftermath of America’s worst school massacre, I know there are those who will use it to promote causes that don’t really address the problem. For instance, the anti-gun crowd is already springing out of the woodwork. 

A call center employee says he has been dismissed from his job for posting an artist’s rendition of the crucifixion during Easter week, even though other employees were allowed to post pictures and art as they chose in their cubicles.

A campaign has been started at the College of William and Mary in Virginia to shake up the school’s governing Board of Visitors after a debacle involving the display of a donated Christian cross in the historic Wren Chapel.

As the dollar sinks to near-record lows against the euro and the British pound, the stock market has returned to record highs, but investors are being advised to anticipate a worldwide downturn and the U.S. economy may have already entered a recession.

Earth Day is now in its 37th year but are people generally more aware of the state of the environment? Is the environment better or worse than when Earth Day began? Equally important, are thoughtful discussions occurring, as was the goal of Earth Day’s creation? Answers to these questions may be found in The Index of Leading Environmental Indicators.

Irvine, CA--The U.S. House approved a bill today that would force companies to hold yearly shareholder non-binding votes on the pay of their CEOs and top executives.

Harry Reid is hopping mad.  He has publicly stated, more than once, that “I am pro-life.” He voted to ban partial birth abortion, that most offensive and hideous type of abortion (prenatal infanticide.) The bill to ban partial birth abortion that he voted for passed Congress.  The President signed it into law.

A 5-4 decision by the Supreme Court on 4/18 began their mark in history. They upheld President Bush’s 2003 ban on Partial Birth Abortion. But more accurately, it began the fall of ‘pro-abortionists’ that is similar to the fall of the Roman Empire. And the ‘High and Mighty’ always tend to fall hard.

The results are in, and Americans have failed the test. When it comes to our history, we are probably the most ignorant generation of Americans ever to be born. Despite unprecedented access to media and information, our families have little idea where they came from, let alone who they are.
