Islam is a religion we never have to worry about, right? On 9/11/01, Islamic fundamentalists found out the ‘hard’ way that even a major disruption of America was not enough to curb ‘perceived’ American infidelity. Now, it is a fact that as of 1/4/07, a Muslim(Keith Ellison) will be sworn in to the 110th Congress of the House of Representatives of the USA. No problem, except he says that a Koran must be present for that ceremony. He refuses to swear into office on a Bible.

Not many Americans have read the Koran from front to back. But it does mention ‘jihad’ may be necessary for conversion of infidels. For the Muslim faith, anyone who does not ‘believe’ is considered an infidel. Now it would be ludicrous to assume that Ellison is an Islamic revolutionary that would go to any means to further his faith. But some disturbing facts raise their ugly head, evidently oblivious to Minnesotans.

It’s interesting that this congressman has a past with the Nation of Islam(NOI), and embraces the Council on American-Islamic Relations(CAIR--founded by two self-identified supporters of Islamic terrorism). After some homework(Joel Mobray/TownHall), determined that Ellison had a very deep relationship with the NOI. They raised $50,000 for Ellison’s election. Truly, one cannot condemn all Muslims as a terrorist--or sympathizers. But even Ellison confirmed helping NOI’s Million Man March(1995). The Star Tribune identified Ellison as an NOI member in 1998, even though he has denied it. But columns he wrote defending NOI leader Louis Farrakhan, indicated he was a member as far back as 1989. And in 1997, Ellison was an NOI spokesman at a public hearing where he defended—in his own words—“the truth” of a government official’s supposed comment that “Jews are the most racist white people.”

Now we know that the Constitution and Declaration were fashioned after Judeo-Christian values. Ellison will not bear any allegiance to the Bible, which contains only Judeo-Christian values. Ellison has never denounced being Muslim, or following the ‘faith’. It seems fairly certain that if Ellison has to choose between the Koran and the Bible, it would be the Koran. And if we really determined how he truly felt about the 9/11 attacks by fellow Muslims, the answer may be easy to figure out.

For an answer from a typical American, the chance of another conflict with Islam is likely great. When the chance presents itself, the odds of Ellison ‘selling out’ America is too high not to be at least considered. It seems as though the majority of Minnesotans are ‘OK’ with taking that chance.
