Table Scraps and Promises
Republicrats item by David Tatosian

Good men and women, Americans all, stood the line, demonstrated, emailed, phoned and faxed their displeasure with Bush’s army of illegal aliens hiding in broad daylight.

Result?

The fence that never was.

Good men and women stood the line and demonstrated to show elected officials their outrage at the unjust prosecution of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean.

Result?

Bush’s Justice Department railroads the Border Patrol agents right into the Federal Penitentiary.

Ramos is subsequently beaten by a group of illegal alien inmates at night, in an unlocked cell, with no guards around.

Result?

Good men and women organize and prepare to stand the line to protest this latest obscenity while Republican representatives Walter Jones, R-N.C., and Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., chastise Bush for not intervening in the case. Rohrabacher said. “Now, I tell you, Mr. President, if these men—especially after this assault—are murdered in prison, or if one of them lose their lives, there’s going to be some kind of impeachment talk in Capitol Hill.”

How comforting it must be for the families of Ramos and Compean to know that if their men die in prison some Republican career politician will talk about impeachment on Capitol Hill.

Rohrabacher’s statement is the quintessence of the Republican Party. Republicans love talking about what they’re going to talk about.

Why does someone have to die before Mr. Rohrabacher and his Republicans pull their heads from the trough long enough to…talk?

If the manipulation of the judicial system by Bush and Gonzales isn’t enough to rouse the Republicans from their servility, what is?

In the same article, Mr. Jones, R-N.C., states, “the president has lost my respect because he will not step forward and do what’s right.”

Seven years of Bush’s (mostly) successful efforts to destroy our nation, people and culture, five and a half years after his Global War on Terror (wherein he still hasn’t the vaguest idea who the enemy is), two months after he rolled over for the Democratic majority and NOW Mr. Jones has lost respect for this president?

And these are the people Conservatives are supposed to depend upon and vote for? These are the people Americans are supposed to trust?

Republicans insist that the only hope for Conservatives and the nation is to help the Republicans rebuild their majority. The same majority Conservatives tore down last November. And why must Conservatives help in this rebuilding effort? So Conservatives can have the honor of a seat at the Republican table. But beyond table scraps and promises, the Republican table has nothing to offer Conservatives or the American people.

Republicans, Conservatives and the American people may not like it, but Republicans are weak, timid and consistent losers when pitted against an apparently more committed, stronger and smarter leftist juggernaut.

Republicans can’t stop the left.

From granting proselytizing homosexuals access to other people’s children in our schools to free health care for illegal aliens to bogus affirmative action programs to Bush’s lazy and pandering Global War on Terror to jailing innocent men, the Republicans lose every fight, every battle, every skirmish.

Republicans have proven they cannot stop the perversion of our duly elected government and the destruction of our nation.

Worse, they have proven that they have come to terms with that destructive process by grabbing whatever they can as fast as they can while leaving all those good men and women, Americans all, to their collective fates.

Republicans can’t stop Bush either.

In their defense, Republicans insist that their lofty principles preclude the possibility of fighting dirty like the Democrats do and so, they lose. (Principles, which have given near superhuman strength and determination to men and women throughout history, only weaken the Republicans. Ironic, no?)

But, they assure us, they’re principled losers and hence, worthy of our respect.

Funnily enough, their principles never stop them from helping themselves to millions of dollars in earmarks, trotting the globe or giving themselves pay raises all on the taxpayer’s dime.

Republicans can’t stop Republicans either.

They ask, “How can you hope to save the country when you can’t save the Republicans?” while assuring us that any efforts to form a third party are delusional, doomed, petty and un American.

Like the racialists, the jihadis in America, the homosexuals, the feminists and the illegal aliens, (all of whom have bested them) the Republicans insist their own interests and demands be met before the needs of the country.

That too is quintessential Republicanism. As is their near hysterical fear of a third party and the possibility of permanent minority status.

Certainly this nation is more important than any party/union/ethnic/racial/sexual or gender affiliation. Apparently Republicans can’t see beyond their partisan blinders far enough to grasp that.

The fact that they can’t is not lost on rank and file Americans.

As for a third party: Republicans should remember that American citizens, not a third party, bestowed the minority status they currently enjoy upon them.

Now clearly the United States of America and the Republican Party are not the same thing. So I ask Republicans why, with the nation’s survival at stake, you choose to commit your energies to a political party that has proven itself to be inept and corrupt? Particularly when in doing so, you all but abandon your country and fellow citizens?

One cannot serve two masters.

Neither can one claim to be saving a nation by standing idly by as its citizens are robbed, imprisoned and denied their God given rights.

What’s it gonna be Republican stalwarts, power politics or America?

Particularly the multicultural/politically correct boot forever in our face.  I sometimes have trouble feeling other peoples pain. That doesn’t make me a bad person does it?  God Bless The U S A
