Abrasive Atheists, Shallow Scholars, Silly Scientists, Pagan Preachers and Embattled Evolutionists Attack Christians! - My new book, to be published later this year, is in the area of Christian apologetics; however, apologetics does not entail apologizing to anyone. It involves seeking to remove the obstacles from the path of the skeptics so they can be saved from a life of misery and an eternity without Hope.

Abrasive Atheists, Shallow Scholars, Silly Scientists, Pagan Preachers, and Embattled Evolutionists have declared war against Christ, Christians, and Churches. Of necessity, their major attack is on the Bible for if they can denounce, deny, distort, and denigrate it, they can win more converts to atheism. They have been waging this war for a few years and most of us have ignored their books, television interviews, university debates, and their typical dog and pony show that the most fanatical God-haters have put on for centuries. They want a fight, and while I consider them to be flies on the tail of a bull, I’m willing to take them on. No quarter asked or given.

I have re-read some of the older critics and found them as shallow, silly, and sarcastic as when I first read them. However, my main criticism is they are unimpressive, untrue, and unworthy of true scholars. I have no problem if a man refuses to believe in God and thinks Christ was a charlatan and Heaven and Hell are fantasy.  If he wants to go to Hell, that is his decision, but please spare me the feigned anger, the self-righteous drivel, and pseudo scholarship as evidenced by Dawkins, Hitchens, Harris, Dennent, and Company, know as the “Four Horsemen” of atheism. 

Moreover, I cringe at the hypocrisy as they pretend to be so concerned about our children being tainted with the religious “virus,” so the Four Horsemen have left their classrooms, their pulpits, their lecture halls, and their laboratories to take on this “noble” crusade for the “sake of the children.” Those dudes are getting rich off their unimpressive books and lectures but, of course, money was never a thought when they declared their war.

After reading the new crop of books by abrasive atheists, I often closed their scribbling efforts and said, “Is this the best these dudes can do to inflict harm upon our churches and claim their superiority over us and declare so authoritatively that God does not exist? I would be embarrassed to put my name on a book filled with antiquated charges that have been answered for hundreds of years. Either these Bible critics are not informed or they pretend (to uninformed readers) that they have developed a polemic against God that will produce more atheists if only people will read their books. The modern atheists are selling to the gullible, uninformed public a rabid pig in a scholarly poke—full of holes.

As I read their criticisms, I felt only pity for them. Well, I was embarrassed for them and the universities they represent. These abrasive atheists are pathetic purveyors of pernicious propaganda and while I don’t hate them, I don’t like them. However, I must love them since Christ died to save them, but one thing is obvious, the atheists’ religion does not require them to love us.

Keep in mind that these dudes are the ones who started this fight. They are the ones who called Christians “bigots,” “yahoos,” “stupid,” “ignorant,” “insane,” “wicked,” “feeble-minded,” “pathetic,” “intellectual cavemen,” and “virus peddlers” so I take all this personally. 

They are not commanded to love their enemies as is obvious in their diatribes against Christians; moreover why do they make such a big deal denying there being a God if One does not exist? Those same “scholars” don’t believe in the Tooth Fairy, Tinker Bell, Easter Bunny, and Santa Claus but they don’t crusade against them. (Well, Dawkins may believe in the Tooth Fairy.)

It seems that those who don’t believe in God are the loudest voices constantly talking about God! Their motive is clear: to prohibit us from teaching our children in home, church, and school that a sovereign God exists and has given us a Book that teaches an exclusive salvation plan based upon the death and resurrection of Christ. That is what this declaration of war is all about. I accept their challenge to war.

Atheists, not being very bright and living in a permanent fog, have not understood that they have not disproved theism, only disbelieved it. Evidently, they can’t make that distinction. Many of them think that making a statement makes it a fact, and by denouncing theism, they discredit it! Of course, they only discredit themselves.

Dawkins and Company need to realize that Truth is truth even if no one believes it and a lie is a lie if everyone believes it. Atheists are peddling pathetic prevarications to a pliable public for a few converts and many, many bucks!
